J.P. Moroz is a contemporary American violin maker originally based in Burlington, Vermont, where he established Moroz Violins in 1991. He trained at the Violin Making School of America in Salt Lake City, graduating in 1982, and later worked in New York and elsewhere before settling in Vermont. Over his career, Moroz has produced over 400 violins, violas, and cellos, specializing in instruments that merge classical European design with personal tonal refinement.
