Pál Sáránszky (1919–2000) was a renowned Hungarian violin and viola maker who studied under Jeromos Cigléry and János Spiegel, and later worked in László Reményi’s workshop. He opened his own shop in 1957, passed his master’s exam in 1960, and was awarded the title of Golden Master Craftsman in 1994. His instruments, especially violas, are noted for their refined workmanship and tonal character, and he received numerous awards at Hungarian and international instrument exhibitions
